The purpose of the Unofficial History of the DC Universe is to chronicle the events of the post-Crisis/post-Zero Hour DC Universe to Flashpoint, spanning from creation to the end of time.

As a result of the events of Crisis On Infinite Earths the DC Multiverse was combined into a single universe. Though later the multiverse would return, be it in Elseworlds, Hypertime, of the post-Infinite Crisis 52 Multiverse, it is the combined history of this universe that the Unofficial History of the DC Universe will tell.
