HISTORY

Talented artist Roy G. Bivolo never hit it big because of his colorblindness. Using a pair of experimental "prisma-goggles", endowing him with an arsenal of color-related powers, he jealously started stealing the world's most valuable works of art. "The Rainbow Raider", as Bivolo now called himself (from the solid light-construct he rode on) was defeated by the Flash (II). However, he returned time and again, encountering Flash as well as the Batman, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), and Booster Gold. He allied himself with other criminals such as the Shade and Dr. Double-X, and was a sometimes-member of the Flash’s Rogues Gallery. His technology was also appropriated by the American government to create the super-villain Doctor Spectro and possibly the League-Buster Chromax. The Raider was brutally killed by current Rogues leader Blacksmith, whom he had angered.

BLACK LANTERN: RAINBOW RAIDER

During the event known as the Blackest Night, dead heroes and villains returned from the grave. The ring placed itself upon the Rainbow Raider's corpse, downloaded all of his memories and created a duplicate of his body as a member of the Black Lantern Corps.
