As they head towards Earth, the Crime Syndicate's presence on the planet is detected. The Power Company engage them, but have little effect. Even the Justice League, with some help from the older Titans, can only fight them to a standstill. The League have to retreat to their lunar watchtower, where they call in reinforcements, both to deal with the Syndicate and to face the oncoming Void Hound, which is detected in the vicinity of Neptune.
