This story continued from Superman Vol. 4 #19.

The two Supermen and merged into one in this story as are the two Lois'. As they merge reality changes and a new timeline is rebuilt incorporating elements from both Supermen's history. A two-page montage showing a few glimpses of this new timeline is seen in this story, but is regarded as cameos as the new history will be revealed in more detail in a later issue.
