HISTORY

Raised by Navajo indians, Harper came to the attention of Oliver Queen, who took him on as his ward and also his heroic sidekick - Queen was Green Arrow and Harper became Speedy. Gifted with the bow and arrow, Speedy fought alongside the Teen Titans for some time, but eventually, feeling abandoned by Queen, drifted into depression and drug addiction, which Black Canary helped him through. He then joined up with the American intelligence services, in the course of one mission fathering a child with the assassin Cheshire.

Reinventing himself as Arsenal, master of many weapons, not just the bow and arrow, he temporarily took over leadership of the Titans when the group was under the auspices of the American government. He later became a member of the new Outsiders (III) under the leadership of his friend Nightwing.

Recently, he was a member of the new Justice League of America under the name Red Arrow. His daughter Lian lived with him until her death. He then joined Deathstroke's Titans team.
