Synopsis:
Gotham Gazette Reporter Charlie Keen is investigating an anonymous tip concerning an alleged covert team of beautiful superhuman criminals. The team actually consists of Black Canary (who is wanted for murdering a man during an altercation) and Starling (her friend with a "long rap sheet"). The vigilante team started by Canary was unsuccessful in recruiting Barbara Gordon, but is attempting to recruit Katana.
Keen is to meet with his informant at a church in Gotham City, but a team of assassins attempt to kill him. Canary and Starling rescue him, and transport him to Gotham International Airport. Keen explodes inexplicably, knocking down the vigilantes.
