HISTORY

Captain Allen Adam of the U.S.A.F. was trapped in a nuclear missile which exploded in space, disintegrating him. Somehow the explosion caused a change within his molecular structure which enabled him to reintegrated himself, gaining atomic energy powers in the process. After having demonstrated his new powers to both his superiors and the President himself, he was given a costume and the code name Captain Atom that he would use in the aid of the U.S.A.F..
