This story continues into the next issue.

Synopsis:

The Sentinels of Magic are able to undo the damage done by Asmodel/Spectre to the heroes, who then organize themselves into three teams: a 'home front'; a team to reignite the fires of Hell; and a team to search for Jim Corrigan in Heaven and get him back into the Spectre.

In Hell, the team fight Cerberus the hellhound and are then tipped into the frozen river Charon. In Heaven, Corrigan refuses to return to Earth, but the archangel Michael directs the heroes to Purgatory where a soul in search of redemption may help them. Here, they receive several offers, most made in desperation, but most nobly and notably from Hal Jordan.
