HISTORY

Djinn's real name is not known. She is a Sila, a female Djinn, which is a rarity among their kind. Unlike her brothers she was born after Man started walking the Earth. While The Djinn were worshipped by many, they were created to be subjugated to the will of humanity and a life of servitude. Banded together by Djinn's bother Elias they decided to fight back to free themselves from humanity.

Their mission eventually took Djinn, Elias and another brother to Makkah, where they wanted to retrieve the Stone of Souls which would help them in their mission. Realizing that the stone was guarded by children Djinn refused to kill them and stood up to her brothers. As Djinn fought Elias her other brother took off with the stone. When Djinn put a protective spell on the children Elias felt betrayed, but instead of killing Djinn he took her ring and made it her prison. Now that he had control over her he commanded that she killed the children and over the following thousands of years he put aside his hatred of humans and lent her out to human masters that might help him achieve his goal of finding the Stone of Souls. Over the years Djinn would serve such masters as Genghis Khan and Napoleon Bonaparte doing evil deeds.

Not long ago the boy servant of her latest master stole the ring from his master and set her free. Wanting to make amends for the horror she had caused over the years she decided to use her magic for good. Fearing her brother will find her, she is very careful not to use too much power to prevent him from detecting where she is.

Djinn recently joined the Teen Titans under the leadership of Robin. During a battle with Gizmo Djinn gave Robin her ring so that he could control her to defeat him. Once the battle was over Robin returned the ring, a gesture which caused her to form a special bond and start harboring feelings for him.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

Djinn can do simple magic on her own like all others of her race, such as illusions and mind reading. For her to perform deeper magic she has to be commanded by a master.
