Synopsis: - On the day of Lieutenant Probson's funeral, the second shift detectives are introduced to their new commander, Lieutenant David Cornwell, a friend of the new mayor. Sarge Davies is not pleased, because everyone always felt he should be next in line for the position. The next case he and Detective Crowe are assigned is the murder of accountant Stephanie Becker, found dead in a dumpster. At first it appears that she was killed by a cab driver, but the evidence points to poisoning, and the next day another accountant from the same firm, Washburn Pharmaceuticals, is found dead of exactly the same cause.
