Synopsis:

Stargirl and S.T.R.I.P.E. are called in to help the Justice Society in Philadelphia - Liberty Belle's powers went out of control during a battle with Baron Blitzkrieg and now she is in contact with her eponymous bell which is sending out tremendous seismic shockwaves. The JSA cannot get near it, and Jesse Quick is worried about her mother. Stargirl battles her way to Liberty Belle's side and convinces her to let go of the bell, even if it could mean the total loss of her powers, because Jesse needs her. Having performed a foolhardy act of daring, Stargirl is then faced with some news from the Shade - her estranged father Sam Kurtis has died in a building collapse in Opal City. She finds herself in tears, wondering why she even cares about the man. S.T.R.I.P.E. says it's because she's a wonderful daughter.
