Synopsis:

Seven members of the Legion of Super-Heroes travel to the present time chasing Alastor. The Time Bubble in which they are traveling is damaged, and they land in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota. Gates, Chameleon Girl, and Dawnstar experience odd symptoms from their new environment. Dawnstar "senses" that Alastor has released a toxin into the environment of Earth. The team finds that their flight rings and other technology from the future is inoperative.

Meanwhile, Alastor awakens across town and turns into a monstrous form causing a great deal of damage to the small town. The use of his powers and his reaction to a small child lost in the fray causes Alastor to morph back into human form and become unconscious. He is captured by Timber Wolf. The team attempts to use a repaired Time Bubble to return to their own time. The vehicle is unstable, and Alastor begins to morph again. Gates attempts to use his teleportation powers to remove Alastor, and Tellus uses his telepathic abilities to control the growth of the villain. Yera morphs into a large creature to fight Alastor. Suddenly, an explosion occurs destroying the Time Bubble and apparently killing Gates and Yera. Timber Wolf and Dawnstar identify "organic matter" of their two teammates falling to the Earth. Alastor's whereabouts are unknown.
