- In publication order, Cory Renwald was the second son fostered by the Kents, following their caretaking of the villainous Mighto in Superboy Vol. 1 #108 (October 1963): "The Kents' First Super-Son." For the DCU Guide's chronology, we are considering the story of Cory Renwald to have taken place before that of Mighto's.
- In Cory Renwald's appearances, it is stated he was fostered years before Clark arrived in Smallville while in Mighto's story he leaves the Kents after erasing the memories of his existence from the Kents and the rest of Smallville, shortly before Clark's arrival.
