HISTORY

Once one of the Guardians of the Universe, Sayd became emotionally involved with a fellow Guardian, Ganthet. As the expression of any emotion or the taking of an individual name was not accepted by the Guardians, Ganthet and Sayd had to leave Oa.

Shortly after the war with the Sinestro Corps, Sayd and Ganthet used the blue light of hope to create the Blue Lantern Corps and inducted Saint Walker as their first ring wielder.

Sayd was killed by the Third Army, sacrificing her life so Green Lantern Kyle Rayner and his allies would survive and help save Ganthet.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

As a Guardian, Sayd possessed the power to manipulate the emerald light of will. This allowed her to create constructs as a living power ring and battery.
