HISTORY

A veteran Green Lantern, Shorm serves as the desk sergeant / quartermaster for the Green Lantern Corps. He does not enjoy having to replace equipment that has been damaged, destroyed, or otherwise lost. He first met the new Sector 2814 Green Lantern Hal Jordan of Earth when the trainee Lantern needed a replacement power battery.

Shorm’s activities over the years have not been documented. It is not known if Shorm was stationed on Oa, or if he still patrolled his sector. Presumably, Shorm was involved with all of the major campaigns fought by the Green Lantern Corps such as the war with Nekron and Krona, as well as the so-called Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Many years later, the Green Lantern Corps was reborn after the defeat of Parallax and Hal Jordan's return. Like may veterans, Shorm once again wielded the power ring. His duties now include working with Lantern Salakk in an administrative capacity to the Guardians of the Universe. Shorm did not take it lightly when an enraged Guy Gardner flew past his desk for an unscheduled meeting with the Guardians.

It is likely Shorm aided in the defense of Oa from Superboy-Prime during the event known as Infinite Crisis. The following year in an example of history repeating itself, Hal Jordan once more turned to Shorm for a replacement power battery. Shorm would later join in the war against the Sinestro Corps and is said to be privately opposed to the resulting Alpha-Lantern project.
