HISTORY

Not much is known of Kiran prior her capture by N.O.W.H.E.R.E. They did change the nature of her powers, perhaps even turning her from a normal-looking human into the black-&-blue-skinned person she is. She, as with all the other captured teenage metahumans, was prepared for the culling by being sent to the Ravenger known as Omen. Much later when she was re-captured with the other Teen Titans, Kiran mentioned to Bunker that Omen had made her do things she regretted. Kid Flash rescued her when he escaped from N.O.W.H.E.R.E., and she saved them both when he ran off the edge of a large ice crevass. Danny the Street brought them to Red Robin before they died of hyperthermia.

Later on, after Kid Flash attempted to defeat Superboy and was tactily accelerated, Solstice saved him from crashing into the deck of a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier by shearing the boat in half, causing $300-million worth of damage. Later, before Superboy could complete his mission and take Wonder Girl back to N.O.W.H.E.R.E., Solstice convinced him he was going to be responsible for the death of them and those like them, mentioning the coming culling. He left.

Solstice also questioned Red Robin's motives and actions when she found him downloading N.O.W.E.R.E.'s information while the rest of the team fought the Ravengers. He told her he'd delayed assaulting N.O.W.E.R.E. while he built a case against them, leaving them in what she called a "living hell". Red Robin rationalised it by saying it was for "the greater good". During the battle against Harvest, Kiran stated she was wrong to have questioned him and would follow Red Robin anywhere.

While on Mystery Island, Kiran and Bart showed signs of a beginning romance.
