Comment(s):

This is the first appearance of Superboy’s Mind Prober Ray, used to remember events that occurred while he was a baby on Krypton. Jonathan Kent would listen while Martha Kent transcribed the stories into a book. This became a recurring feature "Life on Krypton."
The flashback story takes place on the 6 billionth day on Krypton, though at what point was used for the start of the 6 billion days is not made clear.
