Comment(s):

This story is said to have taken place soon after the Kents adopted Clark. Clark is lost at sea and later adopted by a series of foster parents who return him for various reasons related to his (unknown to them) super powers. Clark is later reunited with the Kents.
It is likely this story is out of continuity due to the unlikeliness of events - even in a Silver Age Superbaby story. Due to a coloring mistake, Superbaby's cape is yellow, not red throughout the story, which could be taken as indication of this being an "Imaginary" Story and/or occurring on a parallel Earth.
