HISTORY

Don and Dawn Allen are the twin children of the second Flash (Barry Allen) and his wife Iris, conceived during Barry's last days in Iris' native 30th century. Born after Barry had returned to the 20th century and died at the hands of the Anti-Monitor, Don and Dawn grew up without a father but inherited his super-speed. As the Tornado Twins, they had a brief but distinctive hero career. Among other things, they joined a multitude of Flashes from various eras to battle the villainous Cobalt Blue.

Don later married Meloni Thawne and had a son named Bart, who became known as Impulse in the 21st century. Dawn, who got the last name of Ognats upon marrying, had a daughter named Jenni who grew up to become XS of the Legion of Super-Heroes.

The Tornado Twins were ultimately killed by Dominators after saving a group of humans from their horrific experiments, all part of an elaborate plot by President Thawne to kill them.

In an alternate future, after their death their genetic material was used by the Dominators to alter the metabolism of Mara Williams, who became known as Rush.
