- The events in this story are somewhat "retconned" in issues #90, 0, and 91 (written by Bill Loebs Jr.) because of the revised continuity brought about due to the Crisis follow-up event known as Zero Hour. For one thing, instead of Queen Hippolyta being betrayed by Heracles, leading to the Amazons' crossing over to Paradise Island and Antiope declining to go to Paradise Island and leading her band of Amazons on a quest for revenge against Heracles and Theseus, in the retroactive continuity, Hippolyta falls in love with Heracles and allows him to conquer the Amazons. Also, some additional details are added to the story of Diana and how she won the contest. Later writers have apparently reverse Loebs' retcons back to the continuity established in this issue.
