Synopsis:

Diana learns from Batman that the goblet he and Indelicato recovered is a fake whose construction places its origin in Egypt. From that information Wonder Woman surmises that her mother, Queen Hippolyte, is being held in Bana-Mighdall. She follows the energy of the chalice to the buried city of the warrior women. She lands in the middle of a battle between Lobo and Shim'Tar. Wonder Woman battles the Bana-Mighdall champion while Lobo takes on the rest of the warrior women. Diana realizes that her adversary has changed since the last time they did battle. She uses her bracelets to turn Shim'Tar's attack back on her. The blow strips Shim'Tar of her armor and defeats the Bana-Mighdall warriors as well. Diana sees her mother lying atop the shattered armor of Shim'Tar just as she is engulfed by a radiant light.
In Boston, Cheetah uses Vanessa Kapatelis as leverage to contact Ed Indelicato. She has vital information for Wonder Woman. Elsewhere, General Yedziniak coerces UN delegate Phyllis Haller, to assist in interrogating Philippus. Circe learns of Konrad Kaslak's betrayal and Julia Kapatelis and the Themyscirans' escape. She destroys her aide-de-camp, Mikos, for his failure.
