The fact that Batman sees Clark Kent being harnessed with the Kryptonite belt as seen in Superman: Leviathan Rising Special #1, page 20 on a computer screen indicates that this must be a recording as Batman had no idea where Clark was when he spoke to Lois after that had happened.
