Comment(s):

This adventure takes place in 1927.
Biff Bradley is a relative of Slam Bradley, and was originally meant to be him until an editorial decision made that impossible.
The Chop-Chop in this adventure can not be identical with Weng “Chop-Chop” Chan of the Blackhawks. The latter was only in his late teens when he entered World War II and could not have been an adult in the 1920s.

Synopsis:

China in 1927. German World War I flyer Hans von Hammer (a.k.a. Enemy Ace) appears in a brothel owned by aged Western hero Bat Lash. Hammer is cheated into joining Lash and the adventurer Biff Bradley (a relative of Slam) in a mission to – from Bat’s point of view – "help stabilize the situation in China". The trio is assigned by General Chiang Kai-Shek (of the Chinese Nationalist Party) and General Joseph W. Stilwell (of the US government) to travel to a holy place called "Dragon Island" (known today as Dinosaur Island) and fetch a living "dragon" and two enchanted swords to give power and faith to the Chinese people.
However, their mission may be thwarted by the Vandal Savage, who has allied himself with two different parties – on one side: the Japanese army and the beast-men of Kung. On the other: The forces of Communist rebel Mao Tse-Tung and is deadly companion, Miss Fear. And they are all out to stop our team of dubious heroes and fetch the swords for themselves...
