HISTORY

The so-called "Power War" was waged between the Weaponers of Qward and the Guardians of the Universe, through their agents, the Green Lantern Corps.

Renegade Green Lantern Sinestro believed he was under the orders of the Qwardian General Fabrikant to lead the armies of Qward. The Weaponers scoffed at the renegade Green Lantern. Sinestro had been used by the Weaponers to delay Earth's Green Lantern while the Qwardian forces advanced on Oa.

For years, the Weaponers had seen Sinestro as a paltry tool against the Guardians. He refused that explanation, but deep down he had always known it to be true. While the Weaponers continued their assault against the Green Lantern Corps, neutralizing the ring wielders in a yellow energy vortex. Sinestro turned on the Weaponers, aiding Green Lantern Hal Jordan. The invading force was expelled and Sinestro escaped.
