HISTORY

Arhtky is a planet located within Space Sector 930. Once a thriving or at least stable environment, the planet suffered a global cataclysm many years ago. The specific nature of this event, whether war or natural disaster, remains unconfirmed.

The indigenous humanoid population has since devolved into a barbaric society where the strong prey upon the weak. A small group, under the leadership of "King" Cord raided an encampment taking two sisters and slaying their parents. Cord killed the older sister as she displeased him and after the younger sister's short-lived escape, tracked and mortally wounded her as well.

Taya's rage could be felt as far as Ysmault and the drew the Red Lantern Corps. Cord and his men were now the prey as they were slaughtered by Atrocitus and his followers, but worse was to come for the planet Arhtky.

The Third Army descended upon the planet, to attack the Red Lanterns and assimilate them into their number. Red Lantern Skorch was absorbed into the Third Army as was Taya. Atrocitus identified a fundamental weakness in their biology iand the Red Lanterns were able to slay the thralls of the Third Army.
