HISTORY
A proud warrior whose glory days were long past, the now old and feeble Boff the Unkillable felt embarrassment that his son, Bolphunga was a coward who never lived up to his word. Bolphunga was a braggart who had stained the family name and was an embarrassment on the homeworld of Cepheia.[1] Still, Boff had loved his son, which went against the Cepheid way. Believing this was a sin, Boff spurned any treatment for his withering illness.[2]
Bolphunga had reached his lowest point, incarcerated in a Sciencell on Oa and exposed as a fraud. The intervention of Singularity Jain led to his freedom, but at a price. He would later be tasked to kill his father Boff the Unkillable or his own life was forfeit.[3]
Boff was taken from Cepheia as Bolphunga sought help from the Green Lanterns of Earth. While the Singularity Jain came to collect her debt, Green Lantern Jessica Cruz fought to keep her at bay.
Caged in a Lantern construct, Bolphunga and Boff were left alone while Simon Baz went to request backup against the powerful Singularity Jain. In his delirium, Boff expressed his one wish was to see his son earn his title, fight his own battles and follow through on one promise.
Singularity Jain suddenly halted her battle and Boff the Unkillable was now dead, reportedly strangled by his son, Bolphugna.[4]
