HISTORY

Ektos was a planet situated within Dark Sector 4. Believing that Ektos served as the primary home base for the New God Esak, it became the staging ground for a major military offensive led by John Stewart and his force, the Emerald Guard.

Upon arrival, Stewart and the Emerald Guard were immediately intercepted by the Red Centurions, commanded by Phalanx. The ensuing conflict was quickly revealed to be a calculated ambush. Esak had utilized the planet as bait. He designed the entire confrontation as a trap to lure the Emerald Guard into a single, concentrated location for total annihilation. Realizing their predicament, John Stewart utilized his immense cosmic power to shield the Emerald Guard, the Emerald Guard, and approximately one hundred thousand native Ektosans in the city of Marzal moments before the planet was completely obliterated.
