HISTORY
Marshal Rankk is an interstellar military commander and the leader of the Gray Agents, a ruthless paramilitary law enforcement faction that sought to replace the Green Lantern Corps as the supreme authority in the universe.
To quickly build the Gray Agents' reputation, Rankk orchestrated the hunt for the renegade Hal Jordan. Rankk had a particular motive for targeting Jordan, believing Jordan inspired people they could look after themselves, undermining the need for the Grey Agents.[1]
Seeking a tactical advantage, they went after Hal Jordan's allies, Trapper, Virgo, and the sentient ship Darlene, bringing them to the Gray Agents' stronghold within the Quarax Cluster Field. This did not change their fate as Jordan was able to rescue his friends and defeat Marshall Rankk and his Grey Agents. Their current activities are not documented.[2]
