Martha Kent first appeared in (cameo) Action Comics Vol. 2 #2 (December 2011); (actual appearance) Action Comics Vol. 2 #5 (March 2012). First historical appearance was in (unnamed) Superman Vol. 1 #1 (Summer 1939); (as Mary Kent) Superman Vol. 1 #53 (July-August 1948); (as Marthe Kent) Superboy Vol. 1 #12 (January-February 1951); (as Martha Kent) Adventure Comics Vol. 1 #169 (October 1951).
