HISTORY

Medphyll was an Abin of the Green Level, a high-ranking guardian hailing from the sentient-plant world of J586. His peaceful existence was shattered when Blackstar Intelligencers identified a heretical presence on his planet, the followers of Oan philosophy. This discovery drew attention of Mogo, an acolyte of Qard acting as judge and executioner.

Together with Abin Surs Arisia Rrab and Qurina Vint the threesome sought to hold off the threat. They were confronted by the Black Hand Weaponer, Kilowog who quickly dispatched the overconfident Qurina Vint. Medphyll became Kilowog's second victim, as the J566 native was unprepared for the chaotic action of the Black Hand. In the first strike Medphyll lost his arm. Attempting to understand what had happened, Medphyll was decapitated in the second strike.

Arisia believed she had eliminated Kilowog with an apparently fatal attack but the Black Hand reconstituted and the third Abin of the Green was no more. With J586 defenseless, Mogo passed judgement on the planet, utterly destroying it.
