HISTORY
Some years ago, the immortal Shade started chronicling his life in his very literally written journal. Although he does not write it all chronologically, it is an invaluable document of the Shade's varied life in and outside Opal City. In it you can read about the entire history of Opal, Shade's friendships with men like Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde, and Brian "Scalphunter" Savage, his clashes with two Flashes and other super-heroes, his career as a super-villain and as a cold-blooded killer, his generations-long feud with the Ludlow family, and last but not least, the chronicles of all the Starmen in history. Starman Jack Knight once borrowed part of it to learn a few things about his own legacy and purpose.
