Synopsis:

Superman encounters Metallo, who is in the act of attacking S.T.A.R. Labs. Later, Batman is investigating a rash of grave-robbing in Gotham City when Superman pays him a visit, wishing to relay some information about Metallo. Before he can do so, they are interrupted by Metallo himself, who attacks Batman before shooting Superman with a kryptonite bullet. In an open grave, Batman attempts to take the bullet out of Superman's chest, but Metallo soon fills the grave in above them...

Meanwhile, President Luthor has learned of an asteroid heading for Earth, and informs a team of super-heroes about this. Captain Atom wants to call Superman in, but Luthor refuses.
