Virtually mindless and near-indestructible, the Starlings were created by the Aoran scientist, Evil Star.

GLCWP NOTE

Though there were originally four Starlings, in his later encounters with Green Lantern the number would vary from five to six. In the most recent appearances, the number of Starlings dramatically increased.
